Misterton Parish Council are responsible for:

  • Maintaining common land and some green spaces in the village including Church Meadow, Windmill Garden and Jubilee Gardens and the old library site.
  • Provision and maintenance of dog bins
  • Provision of public seats and village notice boards
  • Maintenance and operation of the sports field on Marsh Lane
  • Provision and maintenance of the play park at Church Meadow and play facilities at the sports field
Jubilee Garden

Jubilee Gardens

Jubilee Gardens is situated next to the Co-operative convenience store on the High Street in the centre of the village.

The Parish Council landscaped the area  to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

It has recently also been used to display Christmas lights and a tree adding a focal point to the village over the festive season.

Windmill Garden

Church Meadow & Windmill Gardens

Church Meadow and Windmill Gardens are situated  on the High Street near the village church. Church Meadow includes a children’s play park which was renovated and installed in 2016 with grant funding from WREN and Awards for All.

The area is also the site for the annual Christmas event with the large tree on Windmill Gardens lit each year.
